How to Set a Wallpaper on iPhone

1. Download and open the ZIP

Choose the Starter Drop or Dark Speed direct download. Safari saves the ZIP to the Files app, normally in Downloads.
Open Files, locate the ZIP, and tap it once. iPhone creates a folder containing the PNG wallpapers, license, and file manifest.
Open the new folder and preview the wallpaper you want. If Wallpaper settings cannot see it, use Share and save a copy to Photos.

2. Set the wallpaper in iPhone Settings

Open Settings, tap Wallpaper, then tap Add New Wallpaper.
Tap Photos and select the Cosmic Throttle image you saved.
Reposition or scale the image in the preview only as much as needed to keep the main subject clear of the clock and controls.
Tap Add when the preview looks right.

3. Choose a pair or separate screens

Choose Set as Wallpaper Pair when you want the same visual system on both screens. Choose Customize Home Screen when icons need a quieter crop, color, or blur while the Lock Screen keeps the full artwork.

A practical Cosmic Throttle setup is a detailed image on the Lock Screen and a darker or blurred Home Screen treatment. That keeps ownership imagination strong without making app labels difficult to read.

4. Protect the focal subject

Keep the car, astronaut, or brightest Milky Way structure away from the clock and bottom controls.
Preview both Lock Screen and Home Screen before confirming; their overlays are different.
Avoid extreme zoom. A small edge crop is better than softening an image by enlarging it heavily.
If an optional visual effect changes the crop or hides detail, compare it with the standard photo treatment and choose the clearer result.

5. If the image looks cropped or missing

Confirm you selected the extracted PNG, not the ZIP or a low-resolution web preview.
Try Customize Home Screen separately if one crop cannot serve both screens.
Return to the original file and start again if repeated zooming has moved the focal point off-screen.
